Laszlo Hollyfield / Saul Plaza

Born in Madrid at an early age he felt strong attraction upon turntables. After djing all around Spain, he stopped when he felt that you could even find a Dj while buying a Kellog's package. Besides he began composing with an Atari connected to a Yamaha RY30. Later on he was abducted by the tracker scene. These experiences lead to his present studio configuration: a hardware and software mixture in order to combine flexibility and powerful sound.

His influences are not very well defined due to his enormous musical knowledge, going from Kylie to Rechenzentrum. He's fancied every genre: eurobeat, trance, hip-hop, techno, indietronic, minimal techno. In his tracks you can clearly identify his pop melodies, and also his love for German electronic music created in the last quarter of the 20th Century.

His CV always has been music based. He recently created his own music academy in Xixon. He's also worked: in a music store, as music teacher, disc jockey, Ableton Live demonstrator in Madrid, and many other jobs always related with music.

His studio is based on Cubase with many pluggins, Ableton Live and Reason. His sounds flow out of his computer through a T.C. Electronic Konnekt 24D and a Powercore Compact. He has some synthesizers and samplers, using mostly his Clavia Nord Modular G2 Engine. Finally everything is mixed in his Yamaha 01v.

Now, through his own words, a lot of new possibilities appear after knowing the other three freaks with whom he builds up Rithmus.
